The idea of a birthday celebration is suggested to have begun with the religion of Mithraism. The cult, which originates in Persia, was widespread among the soldiers of the Roman Empire when they conquered the area. Thus, the Roman soldiers were responsible for spreading the practice throughout the Roman Empire. When Christianity took over, the practice was so deeply entrenched that the fledgling religion continued the tradition. The most common tradition related to a birthday is the birthday cake, together with Birthday Party decorations. Along with this, there is a tradition where the celebrant is told to make a wish and then blow the candles that are placed on top of the cake.
Parties are also synonymous to birthdays. A birthday celebration is usually accompanied with a party, either for adults or children, sometimes even both if the celebrant is an adult and has married friends who have children.

In this age, the computer and the ink cartridge is an important part of life. It is used to print important documents for work or hard copies of projects and term papers for schoolwork. But has anyone ever thought of how to use it as a part of a birthday celebration?

Birthday Cards
As a substitute for gift-giving, the giving of cards is another tradition concerning birthdays. The card is considered special, because it contains a person’s sincere birthday wishes for the celebrant. Because of this, some people go to great lengths to make their own birthday cards to give away. If you have a computer and an ink printer, you can use a software program to design a birthday card of your own creation. Afterwards, you can print this card using your printer.
Coloring Sheets
A cheap printer can be useful to organize children’s parties and create birthday party decorations. For example, a children’s party always comes with a set of activities and games aimed towards the children’s enjoyment. You could use your computer to download coloring sheets from certain sites in the Internet or even design them yourself. Afterwards, you could print copies of these coloring sheets to give away to your child’s guests during the party.
Printing Edible Photos for Birthday Cakes
